Recorded at the now-defunct Crateri Caffe Lounge in Quezon City last May 2004, LIVE AT CRATERI is a 45-minute live set of CLONE's unique brand of jazzy originals and demented instrumentals, going from soulful vocal house songs care of vocalist Ria Mariano, to abstract electro jams to latin house fever with percussionist Andre Quimpo. Be prepared to encounter beats to dance to, and grooves to chill with. CLONE's LIVE AT CRATERI personnel: Lionel Valdellon: laptop running Reason, Oxygen8. Karlo...

Once again, the samplist known as Emorej pits his Acid Pro skills against vocal loops, 4-on-the-floor kickdrums and all sorts of fine funky riffs to come up with a chunky mix of vocal house, trance, drum n bass, breakbeats and even a jazzy downtempo number or two. Equal parts Dance Dance Revolution, Moby, C+C Music Factory and Deee-Lite/Towa Tei, this is one Potpourri that sure smells funky as a llama's ass.

ElectronicaManila is a collective of active musicians and producers of Philippine descent, who were brought together by a mailing list of the same name in 2001, and have since gone on to produce shows, albums, projects and this compilation. BASICS is a project that spawned from the idea: come up with one song using only the general MIDI set of instruments, and pool together the results for a compilation. What you have here is a collection of idiosyncratic grooves ranging from techno to ambient...

A 5-track EP mixing acidjazz, IDM, house, breakbeats into a stew of music that became Acid42's spiritual catharsis of sorts. It's a combination of muzak and lush textured funkiness. Plus a smashing breakbeat remix of "Beast Of Babylon" by Silverfilter. From the EP's liner notes: "And I've finally been able to work past the initial emotional defensiveness to finish these sketches and release them to you. Not exactly in the hopes that you believe in what I believe, but in the hopes...

What do you call the deep, dark, dubby downtempo music that scares away mainstream fans by its apparent inaccessibility (it's difficult to search for song titles written in ascii characters, for one thing) and its occultish overtones? Well, some quarters call this music witch house, crypt hop, or even dub. We call it the soundtrack music for the insane clowns in your mind. Kulam+++Barang is a one-man witch house producer who finds inspiration in slowed down vocal samples, hip hop beats, and...

Silverfilter (Cyril Sorongon) used to gig around the Philippines using a formidable array of Korg Electribes and various hardware. Before he saw the light and switched over to a software and MIDI controller setup, he recorded for posterity this full-on live dance set which features the techno, breaks, and hard-hitting house styles he's come to be known for. Over more than 2 hours, Silverfilter treats us to his energetic spirit where he bleeds electronic dance into our ears via his hardware....
